Rhode-Saint-Genèse is a commune with great facilities located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. It has a population of approximately 18,000. Rhode-Saint-Genèse's inhabitants are known as 'Rhodiens'.
The commune has gradually become primarily French-speaking and is home to dozens of different nationalities, including citizens of various EU countries and Americans. A sizeable proportion of the inhabitants only remain in the area temporarily, due to fixed-term employment contracts with international companies and organisations.
The commune's greatest attributes are undoubtedly the seven fountains with their magnificent pond, and the Sonian Forest which covers more than 400 hectares.
